Gerry Mulligan’s team with Dave Frame, Paul Freeman & Jerry Pilmer despatched Allan Stebben’s team of Noel Lynch, Terry John & Ray Aitchison.
(Dippy’s) Terry Darwent’s team of Graham Wintle, Charlie Shepherd & Alf Dickens beat Allan’s team to put them out.
The final games were humdingers with Graham making positional changes to his team to take ONE life off Gerry’s team in the preliminary final.
In the final game the score was locked after the 15th End. On an extra end Dave Frame had drawn a toucher. Charlie Shepherd drove with his last Bowl to put the Jack in the ditch, however the Toucher followed for Shot.
Therefor Gerry’s team are the 2017 – 18 Winners.
A game well worth watching was watched by quite a few supporters and what a great result for Jerry Pilmer to win his first senior title.
