The place to be for a couple of hours on a Friday afternoon is the Mangawhai Club where Housie is run each week. Housie started at the in the Spring and after a trial period of six weeks because of its popularity the organisers decided to continue running this fun afternoon event.
Players come from as far away as Wellsford and Waipu to participate in the fun afternoon.
Ticket sales commence at 11.30am and play gets under way at 12.00pm. Besides the ordinary houses the “super house” is a major attraction and there is a “buzz” of excitement when one of our callers announces the start of the ‘BIG ‘ one. The more that play the greater the prizes.
